Responsible for overseeing a sales territory for Employee Benefit Solutions and achieving/exceeding business goals assigned to the territory. ?Duties include effectively managing Account Executive- Generalists, Account Executive- Specialists, Account Executive- Medical Excess and Account Managers
in their assigned sales territory. ?The position also includes business and territory development, strategy execution, budget/expense management and Account Executive/Manager development. ?The products that will be sold include, but will not be limited to, Accident, AD&D, Business Travel Accident, Critical Illness, Dental, Disability, Limited Medical, Organ Transplant, Stop Loss, Vision, Worksite Products, and future developed employee benefit products. ?
Sales, Marketing and Production ? Assist with establishing appropriate premium production goals for the assigned sales positions within the territory. ?Work with the Account Executives and Account Managers to establish their goals and ensure their activity culminates in attainment of production goals. ?Be innovative by pursuing opportunities through all existing channels, alternative distribution channels, new markets segments, and underdeveloped territories. ?Be customer focused. ?Partner with the Home Office Departments to assist in driving new business production for their sales territory and retain renewal business. ???
Strategic -Create and successfully execute business plans to achieve or exceed growth through new business, renewal retention, and selling to existing accounts. ?Establish effective budgets which reflect growth and diversification within the territory. ?
Cross Marketing - Partner with internal and external relationships. ??Build strong relationships with Home Office Departments, Sales and Marketing Leaders and Business Development Managers to increase product awareness and facilitate achievement of the production goals. Establish appropriate strategies with metrics to measure success of cross marketing efforts.
Forecasting - Accurately forecast the assigned territory?s monthly, quarterly and yearly premium production. ?Provide detailed, accurate and timely explanations for changes in forecast which enable Sales Senior Management to understand trends and changes in the assigned territory?s production.
Employee Development - Reinforce and clearly articulate Benefit Solutions vision and values in all strategic plans, organizational development and training initiatives. Set clear, measurable, realistic and time specific objectives for their sales office. ?Develop a high performing Sales team that meets or exceeds production goals. ?Create a culture that recognizes accomplishments and wins.
Position Requirements
Job Requirements:
Minimum of five years proven sales leadership experience in group & worksite insurance
Demonstrated experience in territory and sales development, business plan execution, and achieving/exceeding sales goals
Demonstrated success in people leadership and sales development
A valid license to represent the company in health & life lines, prior attainment of or willingness to pursue CLU, CEBS or FLMI designation and a broad knowledge of employee benefits and worksite markets
Self-starter able to operate in an entrepreneurial environment that rewards the ability to successfully set and achieve goals, execute plans and work with management, underwriters, compliance, producers and clients
Excellent communication, negotiation, organizational and analytical skills
Minimum of Bachelor?s degree
